This afternoon it was reported that the Marine helicopter that went missing over the mountains in San Diego has been found with no survivors. This crash leaves five brave Marines dead.

My heart goes out to the families of those we lost aboard.

Let this be a reminder of the dangers our brave men and women in uniform face even in peacetime here on American soil. 

Please also hold the families of the departed in your hearts.

Those families will never be the same and their sacrifice for our protection deserves our appreciation and respect.
