Johnson: Gunderson a leader, fiscal conservative
U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson today endorsed Matt Gunderson for CA-49.
“Matt Gunderson is a leader who understands working families are being crushed by record inflation and that our communities are suffering because of Joe Biden’s failure to secure the border,” said Speaker Johnson. “We need more of Matt Gunderson’s common sense fiscal conservatism in Washington and less of the radical, high-tax madness pushed by his opponent. I am proud to endorse his campaign.”
“Speaker Johnson is single-handedly keeping the Democrats from raising taxes and passing more radical, far-left legislation that will hurt our communities and destroy the middle class in America,” said Gunderson. “I’m honored to have his endorsement and am ready to help him get our border under control, lower the cost of living for all, and get Washington, D.C. back to working for the people.”
Today’s endorsement from Speaker Johnson caps a week of endorsements for Gunderson that includes former Congressional Candidate Brian Maryott and former CA-49 Congressional Candidates Margarita Wilkinson, Kate Monroe and Sheryl Adams.
